Depop’s US fees in 2026
US sellers pay no selling fee on Depop; it was removed in 2024. Every sale pays payment processing of 3.3% + $0.45 on the whole transaction: item, shipping and any sales tax. A bundle counts as one transaction. On top of that, Boost is optional: you choose to promote a listing, and you pay only if the sale comes from the boost.
The Boost fee
Boost is 12% of the item price, excluding tax, for new US listings from March 23, 2026 (it was 8% before). If you ship with your own label instead of a Depop label, the Boost fee also applies to shipping. If a sale is refunded, Depop reverses its fees.
| Item price | Not boosted | Boosted (Depop label) | Boosted (own label) | Keep, not boosted | Keep, boosted |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| $20 | $1.28 | $3.68 | $4.28 | $18.72 | $16.32 |
| $40 | $1.94 | $6.74 | $7.34 | $38.06 | $33.26 |
| $80 | $3.26 | $12.86 | $13.46 | $76.74 | $67.14 |
Boost multiplies Depop’s fees several times over: on $40 it takes them from $1.94 to $6.74, and to $7.34 with your own label (computed). That doesn’t make Boost a bad idea. If it sells an item that would otherwise sit, $4.80 may be worth paying. It is a cost to weigh, sale by sale.
Is Depop still cheap with Boost?
Without Boost, Depop is one of the lowest-fee places to sell clothing in the US. With Boost, the $40 sale’s $6.74 in fees is more than the $4.50 Mercari would charge on the same item and shipping (computed). Use the fee comparison to check your own price; tick “Boosted listing” in the calculator above to switch Boost on and off.
