Whatnot

Commission 8% at the standard tier (Coins & Money 4%), lower at higher 28-day sales tiers (rates by category on Whatnot's rate card). Commission is on the item price after seller coupons. Processing 2.9% + $0.30 on the full order (item + shipping + tax). 0% commission on the part of an item above $1,500 in eligible categories.

eBay (US)

13.6% final value fee in most categories on the total sale (item + shipping + tax), up to $7,500 per item, 2.35% above. Plus $0.30 per order ($0.40 if the order is over $10). Category exceptions apply (for example trading cards 13.25%, sneakers $150+ at 8%).

$2.95 flat on sales under $15; 20% on sales of $15 or more. No separate processing fee. Buyer pays the shipping label.

  • 2026-10-04: Full re-check of every platform before launch. Added Whatnot's volume-tiered commission (effective 2026-09-21), the 0% commission above $1,500 on eligible categories, Depop's 12% Boost rate for new US listings (from 2026-03-23), and Mercari's no-processing-fee structure (since 2025-01-06).
