How Poshmark’s fee works

Poshmark charges one fee per sale, and the rule has two parts (quoted from Poshmark’s help center as of October 4, 2026):

  • Sales under $15: a flat $2.95.
  • Sales of $15 or more: 20% of the sale price.

The fee covers payment processing, and the buyer pays the shipping label and any sales tax separately, so neither is in the base. That makes the fee easy to work out. It also means low prices carry a large fee relative to the item, and there is an odd spot right at $15.

What the table shows

$14 versus $15. At $14.00 you keep $11.05. At $15.00 you keep $12.00, which is $0.95 more for a $1.00 higher price. The fee barely moves, from $2.95 to $3.00, so almost all of the extra dollar reaches you.

$14.99 versus $15. This is the real cliff. At $14.99 the flat fee still applies and you keep $12.04. At $15.00 the fee switches to 20% and you keep $12.00, which is $0.04 less. Above $15, the price has to reach $15.05 before you keep as much as you would at $14.99 (computed).

Where the flat fee stops hurting. The flat fee equals 20% of the price at $14.75. Below that, $2.95 is a bigger share than 20%; between $14.75 and $14.99, it is a smaller share. On a $5.00 sale the fee is 59.0% of the price and you keep $2.05. On $10.00 it is 29.5%. From $15 up it is a steady 20%, so a $20.00 sale keeps $16.00.

Bundles

A bundle checks out as one order with one sale price, so Poshmark figures the fee on the bundle total rather than item by item. Sold separately, 3 items at $6.00 each pay $2.95 apiece, $8.85 in total. Sold as one $18.00 bundle, the fee is 20% of $18.00, or $3.60 (computed). For a closet full of low-priced items, a bundle discount can still leave you with more than separate sales, and the buyer pays one shipping label instead of several.

Offers

The fee is figured on the price the buyer actually pays, so an accepted offer can move a sale across the line. List at $16.00, accept a $14.00 offer, and the fee goes from $3.20 to $2.95 while what you keep drops from $12.80 to $11.05 (computed). If you send an offer with discounted shipping, you fund that discount, and it comes out of your earnings on top of the fee. We could not confirm the current Posh Post label price on Poshmark’s own page, so we have not put a number on that discount here.

Practical pricing notes

  • If you are willing to sell at about $15, $14.99 keeps a few cents more than $15.00, but $14.00 keeps $0.95 less. Price the listing knowing which side of $15 the final offer will land on.
  • Leave room for offers. An $18.00 listing that accepts $15.00 stays in the 20% band; one that accepts $14.00 pays the flat fee.
  • At $8.00 and below, the flat fee takes more than a third of the price. Those items often make more sense in a bundle.
  • Remember what you paid for the item. The “you keep” column is before your cost, supplies and any shipping discount. Our profit math guide walks through the rest.
